SOS ChromoTest Kit for genotoxicty

The SOS ChromoTest TM kit is based on a novel genetically engineered E.coli, which measures the primary response of a cell to genetic damage. In just a few hours, the kit provides a clear, completely objective measurement of the genotoxicity of a sample by a simple visual qualitative evaluation of the degree of DNA damage the cell experiences by observing the colour obtained.

The EBPI SOS-ChromoPadTM is a modified version of the SOS-ChromoTestTM kit which uses a chromogenic pad to test for genotoxicity in sediments directly, without extraction. The SOS-ChromoPadTM is a rapid bacterial-based colorimetric bioassay kit for the determination of toxicity of sediments, suspended sediments, soils and solid wastes.

PAH genotoxicity test

 The SOS ChromoTest kit is based on a novel genetically engineered E.coli, which measures the primary response of a cell to genetic damage as discussed above.  The SOS-Express P450 1A2 bacterial stains contain a bicistronic protein expression vector (p4501A2-red), whcih contains human cytochrome P450 1A2 and human NADPH-P450 reductase cDNA.  The recombinant expression of these two proteins helps in the bioactivation of drug and foreign compounds into DNA-reactive mutagens.
